Passionate about inspiring teachers and engaging students in a modern classroom

Doug Loader

I have worked in Western Australian K-12 education for 6 years overseeing and managing Apple Distinguished schools at a senior level. Prior to that I was fortunate enough to work with Apple Education for 2 years in the UK which saw me visiting over 40 universities delivering professional development to teaching staff and students. In 2011 I was awarded the Apple Distinguished Educator title, and in 2012 Adobe recognised me as an Adobe Education Leader.

In recent years I have been consulting as an authorised Apple Education Trainer. During this time I have worked with dozens of schools and a number of businesses as they look to redefine the way technology is used.

I currently work full time as an ICT and Library manager at a K12 school where I manage the largest Google Apps for Education school in Western Australia, and in 2015 I became a Google Certified Administrator.

I respect and enhance the expertise of the teacher, I look to enable staff so that technology is working for them and not against them.

I write and publish (quarterly for Education Today magazine) many papers surrounding the issues of technology in eduction. My writing reflects my experience with strategic planning from a leadership perspective and change management of organisations.
